Fighting Pretty through Love

Back in February 2016, I did one thing for myself on my 34th birthday. I got a tattoo of an arrow. This was a reminder to me that sometimes you may get pulled back in life in order to launch into something amazing.

I’ve been hesitating writing this entry for over a year. So I am going to keep it short and sweet. Many of you over the years have heard about “Nate the Great” and the beautiful love story that started about ten years ago. I’m sorry to share, like many others, the after-effects of cancer took a toll on our marriage.

So if there is one thing that I have learned through my experience of going through cancer, building Fighting Pretty and interacting with all of the women who have inspired me, it’s that … I am amazing, I am strong, I am beautiful, fierce and full of love. I have been Fighting Pretty through the woes of cancer and even heartbreak.

So if any of you have gone through heartbreak during or after your battle with cancer (unfortunately there are many that have), please know you are not alone. So leave with this:

Life goes on. Lessons are learned. You will love again. And just remember:

sometimes life has to pull you back in order to launch you into something amazing.
