Lauren’s journey is one of resilience, reinvention, and purpose. After Lauren’s 14th year as a top executive in the fashion world, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. What followed was a life-altering experience that ultimately inspired her to launch POST SWIM, a swimwear brand created specifically for women who have scars. Her mission? To help women feel confident, comfortable, and empowered in their own skin.
A Life in Fashion
Before Lauren was an entrepreneur or a breast cancer survivor, she was a fashion powerhouse.
For 16 years, Lauren served as the Chief Merchandising Officer at REVOLVE, one of the most influential online fashion retailers in the world. Her job wasn’t just about picking trends, it was about understanding women, their lifestyles, and how clothing could make them feel bold, expressive, and beautiful.
During her tenure, REVOLVE became known for its carefully curated collections, influencer-driven campaigns, and pulse on what young women wanted to wear. Lauren had a natural intuition for style and storytelling, and a passion for helping women feel their best.
But behind the glitz of fashion shows and product launches, life threw her a curveball she never expected.
The Diagnosis
On April 7, 2022, Lauren received a call that would change her life forever: she had triple negative breast cancer.
Suddenly, everything she knew, her fast-paced career, her routines, her sense of control all came to a halt. The months that followed were filled with doctor’s appointments, surgeries, treatment decisions, and emotional hurdles. Like many women navigating breast cancer, Lauren found herself in uncharted territory, both physically, mentally and emotionally.
Throughout the process, she experienced what so many survivors face: the disconnect between her body and her identity. She was grateful to be healing, but she didn’t always recognize the woman in the mirror. Clothes didn’t fit the same. Her confidence wavered. And despite being surrounded by the tools of an industry built on beauty, she often felt unseen.
But Lauren’s story didn’t stop at survival—it sparked something deeper.
The Spark Behind POST SWIM
As she began healing and stepping back into her life, it came time for Lauren to shop for swimwear for a celebratory trip with her husband to their favorite island, Maui. She noticed something: the options for breast cancer survivors under the age of 50 were extremely limited.
Most swimwear either lacked the style she loved or didn’t accommodate the physical changes she and so many others had gone through. Scar coverage, support, softness, none of it was thoughtfully addressed in existing options. It was as if the fashion industry had overlooked a powerful group of women who still deserved to feel stylish, confident, and beautiful.
That realization lit a fire.
Lauren combined her years of fashion expertise with her personal experience as a survivor, and POST SWIM was born. So she left her role after 16 years as the Chief Merchandising Officer of REVOLVE in July 2024, 2 years after she got the call she had breast cancer and took on the role of entrepreneur and Founder.
Launching with Purpose
On April 7, 2025, exactly three years to the day of her diagnosis, Lauren officially launched POST SWIM.
This wasn’t just a business move; it was a full-circle moment. POST SWIM represents survival, strength, and self-love. The brand offers swimwear specifically designed with breast cancer survivors in mind, including features like soft, high-quality fabrics, strategic cuts that offer support and scar coverage, and styles that blend elegance with ease.
Lauren believes that ‘sometimes you don’t want life’s stories to be what the world sees first.
More Than Swimwear
What sets POST SWIM apart is its heart. Every piece is designed with empathy, intention, and community in mind. Lauren knows firsthand how isolating breast cancer can feel, and she’s built POST SWIM to be more than a product, it’s a movement.
Through the brand’s storytelling, POST SWIM is creating space for women to feel seen, supported, and celebrated. It’s a platform for survivor voices, a hub of shared strength, and a love letter to every woman reclaiming her body after breast cancer.
